there r diff types of christians. & diff churches hav diff beliefs, diff practises, diff envt. so do not base on one church tt u go n make judgment. sometimes it upset mi to see fellow brothers n sisters becomin christians or attend church services for e wrong reason.
Baptism.
jonathan asked abt it whether he can dun baptise...
Firstly.. diff church hav diff types n ways of baptising. For my church, there r 3 ways.. child, teenage n elders. For child baptism.. it means ur parents hope tt u will be a christian. But you hav no control over it. When u become a teenager, if u urself still wan to accept Christ in ur Life.. den for my church u will go thru a series of courses.. n get to know Christ more first den baptise.
For elders.. baptism is like a marriage renewal wif ur spouse, u still accept God as ur saviour.
And for my church.. is juz e pastor placing his hand on ur head n say some speech.Other churches i believe is submerge fully in water.. like goin for a swim.
for jonathan.. i don't tink u shld baptise since u still don't really know God yet. baptising is ur own decision. .whether u wan to accept christ in ur life. e decision shld not be made under parents or peer pressure.. if not.. it defeats e purpose. n u dun need to make e decision rite now.. u can take ur time to consider. if im not wrong.. e baptisin age for my church is above 18 for teenagers.. e time u can make ur own decisions w/o askin ur parents.
Anyways.. baptisin is juz a significant event for christians to show tt u accept christ. if u urself knows tt u accepted christ already.. even if u r not baptised.. it's not impt. As long as God knows it.. it's not impt if other ppl don't know it.
